After 3am its just nightclubs and kebab shops I'm afraid.

You're staying in Soho so there's loads to see on your door step - Carnaby St, Oxford St, Picadilly Circus, Covent Garden all 5 mins walk from Soho. Great for shopping and some good bars and restaurants within these areas (too many to list).
Head to South Bank on a Thursday. Start at Tower Bridge and head west. Taking in Borough Market (as 3stripe said), the Shard, Tate Modern, South Bank area and up to Waterloo bridge. Keep walking past the London eye and up to the House of Commons. It's a good days walk but you'll see a lot of London landmarks.
On Sat or Sun head east. Columbia Road flower market for breakfast then down to Brick Lane and Truman Brewery area for the markets. Some cool little shops and bars.
For a good overview of London head up to Primrose Hill, walking through Primrose Village.
Head to Nottinghill on Saturday for Portobello Rd market. Not much else around West London to be honest.
If the weather's good, yep catch a boat down/up the river. But it's been raining for 3 weeks solid now :(
For food and drinks - it really depends what you're in to. Some great bars East, North and Central. Grab a copy of timeout at the airport and have a read.
London is pretty crazy at the moment with the Olympics so some places may be off limits, and its always full of tourists so expect some crazy crowds. And one tip for you... STAND ON THE RIGHT when going down to the tube ;)
Anyway, a touristy list for you but you're a tourist so enjoy! You could always bump the London drinks thread?!

Courtault Institute is worth visiting
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Co…- the tube closes too early. a major strike against its status as a 'leading city'.ebertzjaw

Unfortunate time to be coming to London. The weather has been utter cock for about 3 weeks solid and is forecast to be complete cock for at least another week.
The weather is a collosal pile of cock.

Victoria & Albert Museum (http://www.vam.ac.uk/)
St. Bride's Church (http://www.stbrides.com/) - Go to the basement, there's been a place of religious worship on the site for 2,000 yearsAnd do a london walk, touristy, but fun... especially the ones that incorporate pubs. (http://www.walks.com/)

If you want goo shots of the big ben, the tower bridge, eye of london and all that stuff, instead of wrestling against one hundred and one japanese/chinese tourists and their cameras, go at night.
If you have a half decent camera and a small tripod you will get much better shots that you can even dream of in the middle of the tourist jungle.
- goo was intended to be good.maikel
- yeah. nice light too in the eveningProjectile

Get yourself down to Peckham and visit http://www.frankscafe.org.uk/
Great bar on top of a multi story car park, with amazing views over London.... Probably the best view in town.... Good drinks/cocktails too
