Maybe it's just me but the now that Mr Jobs is gone I see a good opening for MS to actually compete.
And by the looks of it they are doing the effort. The site redesign looks a bit template-like but million times better than apple (at least a lot more contemporary).
Considering design improvements for Apple nowadays are adding speakers and more USBs/Thunderbolt to the macbooks I dread to think what is coming.
I can totally see Siri becoming today's clippy
- they do compete you plonkerfadein11
- why does every damn tech company, product or piece of news need to be compared to Apple?inteliboy
- NOW THAT JOBS is GONE? You crazy.monospaced

LOL Spot the difference^!
Looks like they bought the template off Themeforest and swapped the logos.

Just wait for their lawyers to see it and add all the ™s and ®s back to the product names.

Why is the carousel image is so huge? I know it scales, but still, the general % of the page taken by it is massive. I am not a fan of the style in which you have this giant image of a person (pretty girl, family, etc. etc.). It is so cliche.

Can see microsoft changing a lot from the design side of things and having more of a distinctive brand style like apple.
- They're trying. But they never stick with the right things long enough, and the wrong things for too long.ETM

Wow, where did it go?????????

I like it

Wow pretty clean for MS.
Wonder if it'd work better with the header/menu inverted.

It looks good. I like the white, and the way the site scales down when resizing the window. There's too much empty space in the drop down menus though.

They'll catch up sooner or later, i think.... It looks better then their current site.

it looks like a million other sites. huge scrolling image (usually contains 4-5 slides) some content below, and then a big-ass gray footer with legal links and site map.
it's not bad...it's just not new.

It's also responsive, try resizing your browser window around.

I like, as you say its responsive too!

Why are they still using their old Windows logo?

weird bug, click a link, then back button and the page displays, then blanks in Chrome.
Body tag get a 'visibility:hidden' on it.

It looks like a template.
