So the government needed to steal 5.8B Euros from it's citizens to post as collateral for a 13B loan package? Who puts up 45% collateral on a bailout loan? That's fishy.
Cyprus basically just said here that private property no longer exists for its citizens...

aahahahahahahha aahahhahaha
ahahah ahahahah ahahahahGeorgesII - as a tax haven, people give luxembourg money and they hardly have to do anything = productive.monNom
- Funny how a lot of the countries that work the longest are the least productive.qTime

The European Union gave Cyprus till Monday to raise the billions of euros it needs to secure an international bailout or face a collapse of its financial system that could push it out of the euro currency zone. http://www.reuters.com/article/2…

We can give Cyprus some money in exchange of their asses haHAhAAhaHA.
a Turk
Fun aside, Northern Cyprus is a big burden on Turkey's back as well. Just because of it's strategic and historical significance we keep feeding them money and none of them work.
- yeah, seriously ah just give it back to the greeks and all will be well. We promise :)_niko

See above chart...
Exactly monNom!
I was with a client yesterday, and he really knows about economy, he builds intranet systems for big companies and gives formation to their workers and so on..
he also has a coded data transfer company, whatever it's called, you know, encrypted shit for money transfers and for banks.
among other things...and he said that this kind of graphics are totally bullshit. I knew that already.
but he explained to me how it worked, how it has an impact on everything, from rating agencies, investors to society in general.obviously luxembourg is productive because of it's bank and services not because people are productive.
but here in nederlands, and he's dutch, most of people tend to believe in this and build their opinion and base their discussions on them.
they really like to use it to show their so believed superiority at all levels.
but people here really tend to believe this fucking system. obviously it's not everybody.
but a great margin of educated people are easily manipulated by things as this."we don't need to work so much because we are very productive..."
"you portuguese (and other south europeans) spend a lot of time at work doing nothing...it's incredible how people that have access to good education and knowledge resources can be so dull.
I really like it here but sometimes I
- So basically your mate said is was BS and thats that then?qTime

I really like it here but sometimes I feel like speaking German to them...
I had this letter from tax office stating I had to pay a certain, huge, amount of money.
i asked some dutch friends for advice:
"if they say so, then it's true. the system here works you know..."well, i was lucky to have a japanese friend that has a dutch girlfriend that use to work in the tax office.
in the end, they have to pay me that fucking amount.
this is not the first time it happens.people believe so much in the system, and because they have money, they just fucking pay without questioning.
amazing...

and as far as i know, the crisis in Portugal is a mix of political and cultural behavior and that euro shit...
it's not just the euro fault or germany's fault, whatever people say.
our society is fucking corrupt, based in central power, adoration and cult of personality, and so on...
it's easy to see and understand certain things.
but in Portugal it's always easy to blame others for our lack of seriousness and commitment.
fortunately not everybody is like that.
but it's also our fucking fault.we already had a fucked up society and problems when we had our own currency.
and if you remember, in the beginning of the 90's something similar happened.
- well spain and portugal has a system that says if you work for the gov x years you cant get fired.ArchitectofFate
- and greece had a retirement age at 55. The system is corrupt and the people are spoiled.ArchitectofFate

History doesn't lie, even if it's written by the so called winners.
I our politicians and economists are not good enough to run things, why don't we hire foreigners that proved to be effective and showed good work?what i mean is, we had a foreign football coach, why don't have a german or icelandic ministry of economy?
european union with borders...fuck that shit.
and fuck england, let them sink alone.
bahahahaha!:D

The UK had £700 billion of debt 2.5 years ago. We're coming up to £1.4 trillion now. Considering we're going through austerity measures, and nothing is really happening, it's safe to say we're fucked as soon as interest rates go up.
Apparently it all stems back from the early 1900's when we set up a welfare state system to look after the older generations. Like a pension scheme. We were loaded back then, and people didn't live as long as they do now. Now it seems with the National Health Service, child support, pensions and other public services paid for by our taxes, millions more people living longer I really don't see how any country could possibly deal with such an out-of-control financial system. With bankers screwing each other over without any consideration for the people, I'd say things really are looking bleak. But yeah, I could do with a new Macbook. And I'm not turning the heating down as it's snowing outside.
- Oh dear you really have swallowed their propaganda designed to make you hate the NHS and welfare.qTime
- We're in debt because we bailed out the cheating banks, not because of the NHS and welfare. The 1% want to return to a time when only the rich could afford medical care and an educationqTime
- ... to a time when only the rich could afford health care and eduction.qTime

Looks like Greece is actually going to leave the Euro?
