So I first posted about snakes last year. Still fascinated and hair read this article about a python hunt in the Everglades:
http://www.cnn.com/2013/01/14/us…
100,000+ pythons there.
1.3 million+ alligators. That blows my mind. I know it's a huge region of land and swamp and mostly not inhabited by people, but it's awesome to think of that many critters like that there.

Plane crashes.
I am glued to any show or documentary about them. I dream about plane crashes about once a week on average.
Note...I am a licensed single engine pilot of a Cessna 172...so I'm not afraid of heights...nor particularly concerned with crashing...my brain just keeps thinking about it though.

Fascinated by saltwater aquariums. I have a 12 gallon nano with live corals, a gobi and a pistol shrimp. It went through a pretty severe crash a few months ago when I moved, so unfortunately lost a lot of my corals. There's so many little details. From lighting, to filtration, to compatible species... there's just an endless amount knowledge to be gained. Aside from weekly waterchanges and detrius cleanup, with aquarium controllers, LED lighting advances and new technologies, it's basically become a life sustaining computer.
