Anything in particular you have a strange fascination with?
I, for example, am fascinated by the battle between snake and gator going on in the Florida Everglades. Can easily waste an hour or two every now and then searching for photos and news stories about how pythons and boas are taking over the Everglades, even killing off alligators there and several other animal species. They estimate there could be as many as 180,000 Burmese pythons living there.

I've got plenty... but they tend to change fairly often.
For example, now that I have a backyard for the first time since I was a kid I've become fascinated with watching the neighborhood birds fly around. Our neighbor has a bunch of trees and a couple of Western Scrub Jays live up in there (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We... Either he or someone else leaves whole peanuts in the shell out for the birds, and these birds pick them up and fly into my yard to crack open the shells and have a feast.
Admittedly this is all pretty lame, but since I'm working from home watching those birds has become the highlight of my day.
I've also become fascinated with how all of the plants in the backyard grow. I walk out to check on them every day... or actually, several times a day.
I'm also fascinated with knights and castles. I could spend hours reading about cool old castles and the dungeons in them and such.
Man, typing this out I really come off as pretty pathetic. I swear I have normal interests and "cool people" hobbies too!

--unique large machinery (oil rigs, large ships, mining gear)
--old stuff still influencing (or leaving its marks) on current world
--structures of stuff (mostly of power, politics, art)
--war (in it's "cooless" - explosions, machinery, accomplishments; and its horrors)
--looking at art from a new perspective (discovering that the past was treating its own way and our perception of it is often mistaken)

That python story is insane. Had no idea.
But what the hell is Fox News Latino? Why are they segregating news audiences now? do not like.

How students can graduate from high school without being able to read in America. It's not only fascinating how this happens, it's infuriating.
