Instead of sending in a traditional resume as requested I made a "resume page" and sent a link. Wasn't sure if this would work, and had a few friends tell me they weren't sure what they thought about the idea, but it ended up working and I accepted the position! Moving from Portland, Maine to NYC in two weeks time. Fourth state we've lived in in as many years.

I shit you not, the link on www.drudgereport.com simply says "Beastie Boy Dead." It's towards the bottom of the center column.

why are people shitting on this thread? ffs are you all that cynical?
autonomy did something out of the box creative, took a chance and succeeded. he landed a great gig and if nothing else his efforts can be used as inspiration for other designers looking to land a new job.
instead people are shitting on code and going bananas over it not working in ie6. what a bunch of insufferable cunts.

Other than the standard "this really should work in at least IE9" stuff, I'm not sure what is so creative about a front-end developer creating a web page to show their work. If I was hiring and they sent me anything other than an actual working site I would toss it in the bin.
