I'm still confused how some teams have 4 people, other teams have 30+, and they all work on it.
The team with 4 people always makes bad stuff, but I don't think more than 10 are necessary for any of these projects.

^ was their whole thing really just a mounted poster that looks like it came from a trade show?????????? And a foam finger? They really need to get off their "race" thing too.
Every week on this show, there's one large professional team, then the other team looks like they hired some high school kids to design their stuff.
Although some weeks, someone like a copywriter does design their "Ad" in PS.

I don't mean to be a prick, but the presentation, execution and design where God awful by Muse. Fouty himself could of designed the enter campaign better.

Yes, it might be mostly inaccurate and made for TV but you know what... I bet you most bankers, accountants, IT etc. would still wish their job could be as 'exciting'

I think I'd prefer watching a long form agency show instead of these hour snippits. It would have to follow a great agency but also cover the relationships between people ā I've seen people crying, working 36hr shifts and sleeping with the account department all in the name of advertising.

Do we think there was more to the pitches?
All that effort was just for one print ad? As in, the copywriter designed it in Photoshop, it got approved by the client and it went directly to "Better Homes & Gardens"?

The bottle in its current form is a big turn off. It makes me think 70s, cheap steak house / German eatery with big red leather booths lots of brown wood, big paper menus, dim lighting, and lots of grease. In other words, just like the restaurant that Mark Ratner and Stacy go to in Fast Times.

They should have lightened the color, slimmed it down some, and frosted it. Lost the big blurby label and just had the red F embossed/engraved on the upper part with 'frangelico' underneath.
That would have bridged the past/future problem that they were so desperately and lumberingly trying to solve. You don't need seas of brown to promote the hazelnuttiness of it. It could sit very nicely on t he shelf next to premium frosted vodkas; it'll sink unless they carry out my idea.

was pretty blown away by how the client suggested a redesign and neither agency bothered, save for the suggestion that they use a clear bottle, as if they hadn't already considered that.

Considering that "The Pitch" is the only thing on TV that is relatable to my/ours creative field on TV, I don't think that the show it is that bad.

They got to start showing more of the final work and less about women crying. No one is going to be invested in a person that only appears on one episode. Project runway has a long discussion about everyone's work.
