Don't really know what to say about this one. Like a cheap version of Odopod's brilliant creation.

Im pretty sure there are more sites out there with:
- big picture at the top
- 3 smaller pictures underneath with descriptions for each one

Artistic direction, animations, transitions, menu items, call-to-actions, hovers.
Really easy to spot.
- This. Lots of copying going on here. No it's not pixel for pixel the same, but it's clear to someone who understands interactive.acrossthesea

Yep.

do you see patterns in the trees?
- d_rek0
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around to see or hear it, does anyone care?

The client probably wanted IWC's site.
- d_rek0
Wow. They even went so far as to create a 3-letter acronym for their brand name too! The level of thievery is outrageous!!
- cashface0
They have similarities, but a stretch to call a rip off.
- chrisRG0
Both are well done and similar, but they also look like thousand of "wordpress/newhtml/scrolldown/wh... that dominate the web lately.
You can easily find similars on those HTML5/CSS Awards websites

Even the grid "wants" to be the same.
I'm not talking about similarities. I'm taking about copying a COMBINATION of concept, layout, type, content placement, artistic direction, etc.
Not talking about the color scheme or the acronym, as d_rek would suggest.

I wanted to raise this issue because I feel compelled by it as a professional designer and watch enthusiast.
IMO, HYT made a really bad business move by either "wanting" something like IWC's website or simply not doing any research about their competitors.
To many, their website will look good, but to the people who actually pays ALOT to buy these types of watches, they will look like another cheap "premium brand" knock off.
