Hey there
I would love to see what you QBN'ers have to say about my site and work. I have been working on this by myself and i would love to get some feedback before I launch.
Cheers!

Ooooops! Sorry not enough sleep...

Why split the folio into Monica and Keith? Doing that makes you look like two freelancers, not one agency. Also, why have you labeled Monica's work by industry, and Keith's by project type?
- MKD0
I know. We are trying to figure out how to put our work together???
Problem we have is all of our work up until now has been done separately. We want to expand our capabilities on more project work as a small agency rather than 2 designers.
thanks for your input!

1. i would remove the line (top to bottom).
2. put work as one.
3a. i would remove resume(s). all of it.
3b. you could have bio(s) instead.
3c. would go under "about us".
4. it's pretty small menu, hard to get lost so do we need to say each thing again at the top. have you tried it without?
- CanHasQBN0
It doesn't matter if the work has been done separately. Lost of work from every company is made by just one person. Showcase it all under the company name. The client doesn't need to know which specific employee did what.
- CanHasQBN0
Also, Logos should not have an apostrophe.
- Most people on this site can't even get apostrophes right.monospaced
- I guess your'e right.CanHasQBN
- Im not wrontmonospaced
- monospaced once again here to be the first to say something negative... about everyone.. in general.canoe
- really?!monospaced
- This fucking thread was at 30 posts before I even typed that you self-righteous...monospaced

The section is called 'about us', but inside you write 'they...' or 'What they do best'. Should be 'We...' or 'What we do best' imo.

All great input! You guys are being easy on me. I know how it could get rough in here being i am not a "graphic designer".
Any thoughts on the work???
- k_temp0
Dude the Work menu is weird and confusing.
If you click on Keith's or Monica's work you get their bio but if you rollover you get the different projects. Why not just put the bio and projects in the same page? Or move the bio to "About Us."
The horizontal thumbnails are too big for what it is doing, you can easily make it square and it will still do the job plus you have the Lightbox script that will enlarge the pic to a decent legible size.

The portraits are a bit bothersome, the HD is just unattractive on faces and photos of children in front of a tree or posing along a fence isn't website worthy to me.

highlight the nav per section
- MKD0
dbloc
Can you you further explain???
- dbloc0
if you are in monica's work. have monica's work stay green on the navigation as a highlight to show that you are currently in that section. Also if you are in Monica's work > Wine and Spirits, wine and spirits should be highlighted too. Just makes it a little more user friendly.

"Logo's" should be "Logos".

Not a comment on your work but... do you know how stupid it is to think that disabling right-click will protect anything on your site? It shows a lack of technical understanding and more importantly, IT'S FUCKING IRRITATING!
- MKD0
spot13
I am sorry you get IRRITATED so easily. Sounds like a personal problem.
As for the right click...GET A FUCKING MAC!
I will fix it.
- I'm on a mac...but maybe I do get easily irritated like a large percentage of your audience.spot13
- you don't know what I do with right click, I might even have a special menu that pops up so I can tell the world how cool MKD isspot13
- ...is, but no. MKD blocks right click so now I have to disable JS to download your shit out of spite.spot13
- okay, I'm done now, sorry to be so harshspot13
- what the fuck does a Mac have to do with the right-click issue? nothing!monospaced
- i can't click, i have track pad. lol.akrok

Quite like the idea behind the general design, but the layout feels really retro, and not in a good way.
OH GOD - right click is disabled? REALLY? ffs, man - this isn't the 90s.
Why do you have two (three, including photography?) seperate sites within one site?
Either partner up and get rid of your egos, choosing the best of both your work, or get to (or three) different sites.
Aside from anything, you're pushing back your work behind layers of redundant and not very interesting (or, more importantly - useful) text.
Where the work is concerned - less is more.
YES, you've done some work for some well-known clients - NO, I don't need or want to see every iteration therein.
.
I can't believe you've disabled right-click. That's just... I don't know, but it irritates me and makes me think a whole lot less of you.

the nav needs to be reworked. as everyone said above, combine your work and cut out the talking in third person bit. my suggestion is that you show all work in grid, and then have a top pull-down menu that allows users to sort by "print" "logos" etc.
that is my quick 20 second peek and 2¢
