To be honest I really like AndroidOS. No issue there.. it's just the terrible support for devices from the manufacturers which makes it hard for me to want to invest in an Android device again.
- serious question: won't your carrier help with handset problems on behalf of the manufacturer?monospaced

@monospaced
Talking to Sprint for hardware/device support is like asking the guy who mows your lawn if he knows how to fix your car. Besides, the best they can do is go "Here's the latest firmware for your device."
The problem isn't the carrier - it's the manufacturers: HTC, Samsung, etc. Because they pump out so many Android devices on a regular basis devices that are sometimes only 6 months old stop receiving any sort of regular updates/support. Sprint can't really tell HTC "hey you need to support a device for one of our customers that is 2 years old".
Really at the point Sprint is just going to try and get you to sign another 2-year contract and upgrade your device.
- awe, that sucksmonospaced
- support for a phone? wow. never had any problems with android. what on earth are you trying to do?fadein11

My 3 year old EVO was feeling sluggish so I did a factory reset and allowed it to download the latest update (which I had always ignored) then re-installed these:
Kindle
Fooducate
Redbox
Evernote
WhatsApp
Netflix
Instagram
Soundcloud
AIX weather
SpeedviewI used to use:
Fake Call
SMS SchedulerEverything's peppy again. I'm sure the thousands of texts and miscellaneous files therein were wasting space that would have been too meticulous to delete individually.

@drek - what on earth are you trying to do?
I've been on Android for 2 years now and latest Note2 is by far the best mobile device I have ever owned. Android makes iOS look v.old hat now. I am intrigued as to what your problems are?
Its all so easy on Android.- Never thought I'd say it but... I agree. Android is shit hotset

I have no issue whatsoever with AndroidOS - i actually think AndroidOS is fantastic! It's just the device... it just feels like a cheap PC to me. It's like I bought a Dell or an HP desktop and after a few months it starts to get all slow and janky because.. hey.. that's what PC's do (poor QA for hardware drivers and firmware is probably the biggest cause of this).
- interesting - i had my s2 for 2 years and was still v.nippy at upgrade time.fadein11

What's a good text editor (can handle RTF ideally)? Jota+ comes up as the highest rated as far as I can tell, anyone using it?
