Prophetone,
Thanks so much for posting those AI music vids. The first one is hugely inspiring!Have you heard of https://www.aiva.ai/
You can feed it midi songs and it'll create new songs for you based on that's inspiration.I believe Ableton can convert any audio into midi files.
Theoretically...
In Ableton, take a song from a favourite artist, convert to Midi.
Take into Aiva, let it create a new song for you based on this inspiration.
Use AI from that first vid to create some breaks.
Sample and chop the breaks.
Assign VST instruments to the midi channels of the new song created.
Use Sumo for some lyrics.Hey presto..... You got a song!
- Did not know about Aiva but seems to be the perfect example of an ai tool geared specifically for doing one thing well, like game dev music, this is greatprophetone

A while back I was almost going to buy a sub for my KRK speakers, but decided against it.
Instead, I bought the AIAIAI TMA-2 Wireless headphones and they're probably the best thing I've bought for recording in ages. I've had two of their wired headphones over the years, and didn't use them that much when recording because they'd get in the way of my guitar and just get tangled.
It's liberating to have wireless ones now. I'm recording way more and feel like the quality is better due to the intimacy of headphones as opposed to speakers in an untreated room.
If you're not familiar with these, they're not just bluetooth, they have a transceiver that plugs into the headphones output of your interface, and uses a low latency connection far better than bluetooth. No lag or latency at all. They've totally changed my enjoyment of working on music. https://aiaiai.audio/stories/pro…
- I have a regular wired set and I really like them. I ended up buying a few of the different speaker options to see what I preferred and sold the others.microkorg
- have been tempted to grab the wireless ones on black Friday or similar sales.microkorg
- These sound good too, I assume?letterhead
- what drivers are they? literally just got the TMA2 DJ yesterday and they are bass heavy, but I thought they sounded ok.. but then I have had people totallyautoflavour
- shit on them for being muddy. like sure compared to my HD25 and DT990 they are heavy on the low end, but kind of what it says on the boxautoflavour
- I had one of the bassier ones, maybe S02. But settled on the S01 for a more 'real' sound.microkorg
- Have the S01 with the E08 alcantara over ear. The pads make a difference to the sound too. Auto, the DJ ones come with the small pads. Try the larger asmicrokorg
- it may help to ease the bass a little.microkorg

Label: Field Of Dreams Music (@fieldofdreams)
www.facebook.com/fieldofdreamsmu…...Field of Dreams is Al Mackenzie, a part-time pop star with D:Ream & full-time DJ and musician who also runs his own Retroforward nights, and graphic designer Chris Kentish from Field Theory, who has released on Futureboogie and Secret Life. They have worked together since 2017 on the likes of Pleasure Unit & Tici Taci and received big plaudits for their remix of Les Crocodiles' classic 'La Nuit Des Tropiques', including from the late Andrew Weatherall who went on to remix the pair. Following support on Radio 6 Music and a hiatus during the pandemic, they are now back with a deeper and edgier sound than previous outings. "Perhaps a sign of things to come, perhaps not," say the ever-evolving pair who like to keep fans guessing.
Opener 'Into The Sun' is a scintillating mix of deep rolling house grooves and authentic machine soul. The far-sighted chords and twinkling pads make for a reverential mood that draws you in for an emotional ride. The title track is a slow-motion workout with elastic bass and subtle acid lines under muttered vocals. It's hazy and lo-fi like all the best Detroit house.
The magnificent 'Mind Over Matter' is another timeless deep house sound with layer upon layer of synth warmth, cosmic radiance and perfectly dusty analogue grooves that work both body and mind. 'Into The Night' builds towards the peak of the party with more driving drums and pulsing acid that keeps you on edge and 'Mind Field' then cuts loose on more ramshackle and percussive house grooves with plenty of lush signature synth work from Field Of Dreams.
This emotive and immersive EP is a perfect return for this masterful pair."

Started messing with Koala app again a while back.
Friend recommended AUM for bringing in other instruments, effects etc but didnt really gel with it. It's just a mixer really.Just seen that Logic Pro is available as an app now!
Been watching vids on YouTube. Holy shit! Can see me selling Ableton, Push2 and a whole lot of VSTs as I NEVER sit down at a desk in front of a computer to make music these days, I absolutely despise it.

I know it's off topic for Making Beats, but I've posted here before and you guys inspire me to pursue the weird sounds in my brain.
Here's a demo of a song I've been sitting on for about a year now. It's called Working Vacation. I figured it's better out there in the world that sitting on my phone.
I want to literally make some beats for this song, but programming in drums is not my specialty. Maybe one day, or maybe it'll never get done...
