My 10 year old daughter won the MVP for her entire basketball division for the second time recently - about 150 girls compete. No idea where she gets it from...I have never played basketball in my life!
My 8 year old son also won won a writing competition...cool!
BUT, the thing that makes me most proud is they say "I love you dad" every night before they go to bed.

My youngest son (14 months) is going through an intense Daddy phase. While it's annoying that I can't do anything without holding him (brewing coffee one-handed is not easy), it melts my heart when he runs to me through a crowd of people with a big grin on his face, saying "heeeeey." :)

One Saturday this summer, we went blackberry as a family. My oldest son (3) loves blackberries, just like his old man. He of course had to have his own bucket. He was walking around with his bucket, shoving blackberries into his mouth as quickly as possible. Never had more than a few blackberries in his bucket. When I told him they needed to go in his bucket and not his belly, he said "No no, wit's [sic] ok, Daddy. Dey're good." As if that explained everything...

My 9 year old daughter yesterday announced that I had 'devils head' syndrome, and proceeded to continue the conversation by using only the words 'devils head', but maintaining all other aspects of normal speech - intonation, body language, etc. Almost immediately she contracted 'What's Fled?', and we continued for 20 minutes getting dinner ready using only the words 'devilshead' and 'What's Fled?'.

my son is totally and utterly a daddy's boy, i cant do anything without him being my shadow, cries when i go to work, the lot.
it was at a stage where i couldn't even go to bed at night without him getting up and getting in bed with us everynight... was a nightmare, but he's gotten over that now. kids are brilliant!
