Did anyone here catch the UK trailer of Prometheus which was on Channel4 about 10:00pm last night, there where allot of new clips I have not seen before. This movie looks great.

As much as I love Ridley Scott and all his creations, the idea of glass-fronted spaceships (one scrape and you're fucked!) or all-glass astronaut helmets (one trip and you're fucked) makes me feel uncomfortable.

I watched Alien for the first time in many years last night ... still holds up. I cant believe this was shot around 1978.
a couple of scenes look a little weird (the transition of Ash's head on the floor from prosthetic to actor and back to prosthetic. and when the Alien is blown out of the shuttle into outer space.)
but overall what a great sci-fi horror flick.

In the original,
what was the alien doing laying there sideways in the escape shuttle? ...
to me it looked as if it is in a sleep state ....
was it awake and hiding? why didn't it lunge at Ripley?
was it waiting for Ripley to go into hyper-sleep? and then attack her
wasn't sure.
