Would like to know origins of Engineers. They clearly hate/afraid of humans. I think engineers are humans + the pure species. I have a feeling Scott will show us what the pure species is or is the black tar the pure species or just what others have said just nano tech.
Or maybe the only real species is the one that contains all species therefore humans will continue to travel space and time looking for the true species but at the same time creating new organisms and new species.
The truest form of a virus.
- why Engineers hate humans >>> I think it has something to do with humans worshiping Christ ... from the blu-ray editionRamanisky2
- shhh! i gotta get blueray! yup same with dragons i think also.teh

Still excited to see this...but I'm worried by the large number of negative reviews, both here and on other sites.
Could it be this year's Phantom Menace/ Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?
- Best to ignore those reviews. See it for your own enjoyment & make your own mind up.AVAVA

Still undecided.
For me it felt like it borrowed from a lot of other things and was trying to coalesce them together but didn't quite get there.
Weyland made me thin of Felix Jongleur from Tad Williams Otherland series, gazillionaire fighting mortality.Saw it in 3D and hate how much the glasses dull the colours down.
- Weyland is Raymond Kurzweilsublocked
- hmmm....possibly...thumb_screws

I maintain that there are no good prequels.
We'd have been better off with a true sequel to the Alien franchise, or something original (set in the Blade Runner/Alien shared universe if necessary).

I loved it too. Matter of fact, I'm going back to see it tonight after seeing it last night for the first time. This is the first time I can remember watching a movie, walking out of the theater, and wanting to immediately watch it again. It leaves a lot to the imagination and there are quite a few WTF moments, but I was completely engrossed by it and was amazed by the experience of it. Really awesome movie.
- felt the same way even though a storm knocked out the power .. I will go see it again on SundayRamanisky2

don't understand why people moan about... remember Blade Runner also had terrible reviews when it came out.
This is a major budget film, with incredible graphics, some risks are being taken and it has a lot of fantasy... what do people expect?
Remember no Hollywood film will ever surprise you because they cannot take risks when such big budgets are on the table.
- blade runner was intelligent with a clear plotline - incomparablefadein11

the thing is, it's an amazing movie, I'm just not sure if it's a good one - if that makes sense.
- yep that sums it up for me.thumb_screws

- As much as I felt it was an utter crock of shit, I can buy into this statement though. It did amaze visually and atmospherically.Horp

I don't think its true that Blade Runner had terrible reviews...anyway its the audience reaction that matters, not the critics.

"However, when it first opened in the US in 1982, things did not bode so well for Blade Runner. The film opened to disappointing box office and almost universally bad reviews. Even star Harrison Ford was quoted at the time as saying "it's a film about whether you can have a meaningful relationship with your toaster."
- well it certainly wasn't a blade runnerfadein11
- I agree Blade Runner is better, but wonder how this will look like 20 years from nowclearThoughts
- You're reaching. Whenever there's controversies people point to initial failures. Clearly this is a solid 7/10biusness

Hungry Jack syrup truck spills onto Buttermilk Pike
A highway truck accident never sounded so delicious. A semitrailer hauling Hungry Jack pancake syrup collided with a highway median at the Buttermilk Pike overpass in northern Kentucky, causing the truckload of syrup to spill all over the highway.- waiting to see this pop up out of there...wait! don't touch it! >
