I can't wait until they explain Bruce Banner's incredible ability to change his appearance :) Some sort of in-joke in the movie dialogue would be welcome.

it was ok. well made teenage noise tits and explosions. it seems it's really good if you're a super hero fanboy/girl, but i'm not so it was just ok. One stand-out belly laugh towards the end though.

Just saw it. I thought it was very good. You can't really expect much more from a comic book movie with so many characters in it.
It's pretty much the exact opposite of the newer Batman movies, which although I like a lot, I can barely even look at them as comic book movies. I know they're closely based on a lot of the Jeph Loeb stuff, but I look at them as more like normal movies, like the movie Heat, except with Batman thrown in there.
Avengers on the other hand doesn't try to be that at all, and if you liked some of the previous Marvel movies it's just impossible not to like this as far as I'm concerned.

Thank God there's an 'official car' for the Avengers. I was really getting concerned.

The first act dragged on and was rather dull... I'm not really a fan of magical-items-that-can-destroy-t... plot lines that all these super hero films seem to have -- but the cast & direction made up for it, so many great moments.

I saw it the other night, was falling asleep in parts, weak storyline that gets a bit better towards the end with the special effects. Stay till after the credits for little added extra.

'The Avengers': Footage Leaks Online (Spoilers)
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com…Heat Vision reports an "Avengers" teaser will appear with "Captain America: The First Avenger"... "Marvel has practically patented these 'buttons' that appear at the end of their movies as teasers for the next film. The recent series that began with 'Iron Man' will culminate with 'The Avengers' next summer," they write. "This, however, was more than just one scene. Clearly it was a curtain-raiser for the movie itself."
the trailer can be seen here [while it lasts b4 disney pulls it]

I really enjoyed it.
Very witty with loads of laugh-out-loud moments.
The bit with Loki and The Hulk had everyone in the cinema laughing for ages.
