Its abstract art. I get it...but really far down the abstract spectrum. So far down the spectrum is wraps around and shares the same space as 'child like' illustration. There is a place for everything. C'est la vie.

There is a place for everything indeed. I can't help but think there's some narrow mindedness on here sometimes though. I'm not familiar with an abstract spectrum, just abstract or figurative, and actually his paintings are pretty much figurative and contain sometimes quite a strong narrative.
Agreed, if it weren't in the Gagosian he'd just be another artist in another studio. Would Munari have done anything if he wasn't spotted, or Carson, or Dyson, or Pollock, Picasso, Basquiat, .....

I just object to the whole art system. I like the stuff, but don't see why it's worth millions of $. I don't understand why he went to that high $$$ level. Richard Prince, same thing.
Jeff Koons and Hirst are the only ones who invest serious money in making art.
