Looking to install CS5 or 5.5 what CS file will not open in older versions of CS1-2-3-4
I think InDesign, Illustrator, Flash are the only file that may give me an issue, unless saved down to an older CS version. anybody know.

After Effects has never been backwards compatible

InDesign also makes life difficult for saving back to older versions. You can basically only save back one version through a semi-complicated process.

i just need to go as far back as CS4. I'm reading CS5-to->CS4 is also a problem..... I don't believe so.
~anyone?

I'm assuming Fw will be an issue being its partially vector based app. Althought I never use Fw. except for animated GIFs :-D
~anyone else know?

I've read that PSD files may also be affected by not apply some layer styles, and will appear as flattened layers.
BASICLY upgrade everyone so there are no issues. thanks adobe.

Hey - is there any way to open an InDesign CS5 file in CS3?
I have to bring work files home to potentially work on during the hurricane..and my laptop only has CS3
- Just save it down before taking it home.ETM
- Oh wait, sorry, forget ID was a bitch. You can say down to CS4 first then CS3 if that's an option.ETM
- how do you save it down to be able to open in cs3? it was created in cs5?bananana
- Or just grab the 30 day trial of ID from the Adobe site for home.ETM
