get the jpgs separately, and ignore the entire indesign debacle
fuck any client wasting my time on stupid client initiated problems... i.e. an indesign file full of jpgs, especially if on a limited budget

you can export each page in ID as jpegs..
File > Export...
Select .jpg as format and you can choose range, quality etc.

that's prob the best bet given that the reason they were in ID, I'm assuming, is that they were cropped and manipulated, hence, using the source pics might be more trouble in the end. the end.
