I find these sites unique and pretty, but for some reason I instantly become less motivated to explore. I feel like they are great for highly aspirational brand messaging, but not much else.
- Novel experiences give a lasting impression but at the cost of usability. Making a user behave differently, IMHO, is a core UX failure.orrinward2
- core UX failure. Giving someone better results from similar experiences is the way to go!orrinward2

Is it just me or are these sites unresponsive and bloated? This is flash 2.0 via HTML5 all over again.
- Still not overly convinced by 'responsive' (I love how neat it is!). It's just there aren't devices that randomly get cut from 1080p to 320pxX240...orrinward2
- 1080p to 320pxX240px in an instant. You can tell what size to display before render time..orrinward2
- I love to show off neat responsive shit that reduces to core content on a smaller browser but practically a mobile specific design works just as well...orrinward2
- mobile-specific design that gets displayed from mobile devices is just as adequate.orrinward2
- Also, responsive CSS currently still loads the full content - it's inefficient loadwise.orrinward2
- ...I think 4 side boxes merits a 'respond'... If only the text shown was responsive!orrinward2

They look like Flash 2.0 because people have been using and mastering the technology about as long as they had by the time Flash was 2.0. Be interested to learn exactly what proportion of people making modern sites like this went through the Flash cycle... ?
