Why would anyone want to hang something on their wall that was a reminder of death and tragedy? That's why I do'nt agree with a lot of these. Although some look great, I'd feel embarrassed and shameful to display it as a donation trophy.

good article:
http://www.fastcodesign.com/1663…- This sums up exactly what I was trying to say before, but my writing skills are far less elegant.dMullins
- and that article is about one of the most tasteful of the group.Josev
- I cant believe they reference Wabi Sabi in this. I cant see the appreciation of the nothingness in japan
autoflavour - it is a good article... again, not sure that wabi sabi or any philosophy of aesthetics are applicable.mrghost

Hey fucktwat, some of us are happy to just be respectful and donate and when we see people jockeying for publicity on the back of a tragedy it makes us sick, capiche?
- Iggyboo0
I hear what your saying Meffid, but if artists are creating work that could help be sold and all profits were dedicated to the donation cause I don't see how you can't hold a grudge against artists who do that. And to be fair artists aren't all walking around with thick pockets, if this is how they can help that's how it is.
- arrggh can hold a grudge lol.. not can't hold.. apologies its late.Iggyboo

at least he got something to write about. not that i was going to read all that blah blah shit he wrote. and only in english.
and if he wouldn't had written it, i wouldn't seen it. so, it benefitted him, also.you could complain and say shit about almost everything. most people do. cause it's easy.

one side of me likes these, and is a good way for a 'designer' to express themselves - why not right?
on the other hand, they are tacky, disrespectful and represent some smarty pants on the other side of the globe with a copy of adobe suite.

And all because Japan has a nice minimal flag that appeals to us graphic designers.
I said if before and I'll say it again...
most of these guys are desperate graphic artists who are over-eager to jump at the obvious visual punchline.- I get it none of the artwork is any good, but striking out against artists 'who are trying to help' is a silly waste of time.Iggyboo
