Should I buy one now or wait for new one. I heard that they are supposed to refresh all iMacs in a month or so.

put mac osx on a pc and save yourself a $1000.http://www.qbn.com/topics/649122…
It can be tricky, but there are lots of resources online. However if youre ethical and want apple support, and want to support apple, you may not wish to.
- I love my hackintosh, bought from a guy who made it so I didn't have to....vaxorcist
- it's not too tricky. this gets my vote.johnny_wobble
- Ethical? Wouldn't you still have to buy an OSX installer.CyBrainX
- thats cool vaxorcist, save money and no hassle!

Well if you don't need it now, then wait... but yeah... it'll only be 'new' for 6 months or so.
Deal with it.

There's ALWAYS a hotter machine next year/week/month/nanosecond....
I was at Apple Training for WebObjects in 1998, the teacher asked us how many of us were waiting for a new generation of macs before we bought a new machine... most of said we were waiting...
He told us the story of the Osborne One and Osborne Two...
The Osborne One was a 1980's "portable" computer with a tiny screen and two big floppy drives, Mr Osborne was showing it at trade shows, people said the screen was too small, he said "Yes, just wait for the Osborne Two, it will have a bigger screen and slimmer floppy drives!" .... so everyone waited to buy an Osborne Two and very few Osborne One's were sold, causing the company to go out of business before the Osborne Two could be made....

Do you want to buy a late 2009 17" MacBookPro by any chance? It's like a year and a half old.
Paid $3,549 for it on July 17 2009 from Apple.com. It basically was the maxed out version you can get when I bought it (8 GBs RAM, 500GB, 2.8GHz Intel Core Duo, etc).
Would part for it for $2k. As much as I like the thought of portability, I want to get a MacPro to support my dual displays better. Right now it's just taking up desk space. I don't really go anywhere. It's in absolute perfect condition and is very fast. I have all paperwork for it too.
Lemme know.
- Still got plenty of time on the AppleCare warranty too, like another year and a half (it's on 3 year plan)fyoucher1
- good luck, new MBP's coming out in... weeks... days maybe.horton
- Well, that's why I'm selling it for $2k. Try getting a new MBP with these specs and see what it costs.fyoucher1
- This has dual graphics card too.fyoucher1
- Configuring a 17" MBP with the lowest specs w/ 8GB ram and AppleCare makes it $3,098.fyoucher1
