Adver-what?

I don't know if it's the same company — but everywhere I look now, I see huge green banners for Shopify plastered everywhere... just because I looked at their site a week or so ago.
I KNOW YOU FUCKING EXIST, SHOPIFY — I PUT YOUR DOMAIN IN WITH MY OWN BARE FINGERS... It's like my own computer thinks I'm too stupid to know what I'm doing with myself from one minute to the next.
Is this the start of resentment-marketing?
"Oh, fuckit - I'll buy the fucking thing just so I never have to see this fucking advert again!"
GRR.
(and yes, I have 'turned off' the Criteo cookie - tbh, I just resented even making them aware that they'd gotten to me, so didn't want to check it. I still don't trust that they haven't somehow used that information to profit off me, even for just a cent.
NNGH.

"Can you justify that assertion, or are you *horror* an employee of Criteo..? :)"
had a look at the numbers from a competitor, conversion rates for online-shoppers are really impressive. it works, maybe not for ouy, but as in advertisers get more bang for the buck, that´s why criteo et al. thrive.

ouy > you
no offense.

the other thing is, i don´t expect anything at all from the ads i get delivered, maybe you have a different perspective in that way.

what pushes my button is pop-up blocker evading pop-ups, video interstitials, audio not off on default and these fucking cleft palate ads with zoom on disfigured kids faces.

Its just you.

Aw, bless — you dug this thread up, just to have a go at me?
You're so sweet.

On the internet?
I don't believe it.
