still going through it..
I'm on the schwarzenegger track right now, I think it's kind of cool that its not so poppy/ dance friendly so far. Beside from that pharell track, it doesn't sound very radio friendly, that could mean that all these grandparents with cellphones might not be so much into it after all

The beginning of Beyond reminds me of this

- Why did they have to pick any of them?!pig

- That second guy isn't an option for anyone with a brain.fredddddd
- Yeah man pharrell seems to be a lot less toolbag-ish than your average music star of that genre.Hombre_Lobo

Just got it started; sounds funky and very light on the house/techno...
Thir has been more buzz on the album than any in recent (random access) memory...

it's a great album and is well produced but i think i was hoping for another "human after all". i wanted another robot rock and i wanted it harder, better, faster, stronger.
this album is softer, funkier, slower, weaker.
but that's just like, my opinion, man.
- that's fucking interesting... that's fucking interesting
http://www.porkfist.…Miguex - I'd agree with it being less punchy for sure.Hombre_Lobo

i think they were expected to break away from the heavy sound that's been dominating electronic music for the last couple years with this album and they delivered

I think it's all a bit lacklustre and I'm disappoint ... if this wasn't DP there would be a couple of limp faps over it and that'd be about it.

On first listen: underwhelmed.
Some really inspired turns, but some tracks are demos at best and go nowhere.
Pharrell is totally unnecessary throughout.
I get what they're trying to do with the downbeat disco as a counterpoint to EDM, but I'm not taken. A little too porny.
Maybe it's a grower.

If the marketing hype videos were to be believed, this album was going to change everything. After listening to the album though I think that we may have all fallen foul to marketing.
Pretty underwhelmed by the album too.
Some nice synth sounds here and there. A bit too much vocoder (even though this is what DP are famous for in their vocals i guess). The closing song "Contact" is great though.
Not much to dance to.

What I find funny is...huge, expensive marketing build up for months. Then two weeks before the actual release everyone gets the album for free.
- that's why pre-orders are important and marketing did pay off there. also a leak 2 weeks prior to the release isn't that bad considering the attentionspl33nidoru
- that bad considering the interest.spl33nidoru
- They psyched up a bunch of people to download the album for free:)ukit2

8/10. some great tracks. some weird tracks. some tracks that sound like they should be in the background of a musical on broadway.
honestly, i think i will be more interested in the heaps of remixes that are sure to follow.

Its alright.
But I had a 'Picard WTF is this shit?' moment listening to "Touch"

Haven't listened to it properly yet but seems like a pretty brave move.

The more I listen to it, the more I like it.
