CanHazQBN,
That's what i'm thinking where as a roller will give a nice amount of variety... & I also won't have to hook up my wheel...
My girl would like to use it and it seems it be quicker to change the roller then to swap out entire back wheels??? Thoughts...???

Rollers will improve your bike handling skills and your ability to hold a line better once you get back onto the road.
I don't know much about those specific rollers, but Cycleops is a major brand that makes quality stuff, so I don't think you could go wrong. Also, aluminum drums and three contact points on the ground is better, both of which it has.
- This is my key to improve skills while also keeping my legs fresh... Want to compete next year...ideaist

have had Nashbar rollers (the thicker ones), for about 10 years. They are great for line training and full circle pedaling. Make sure you use them next to a wall or something you can fall (bail) against — especially if you are doing interval training and get completely fried.
Interesting that you mention coasting—I don't think I've ever coasted on rollers—not sure you even can...
The only drawback I've ever thought with rollers is that you can't zone out at all and have to focus the entire time. Some rollers have an add-on front wheel holder option for that. (Krietlers? I think?)Still a really great investment and indoor exercise.

My neighbor in Colorado used to practice with one of these (not sure which) but it was loud as ffffuck! Zzzzz Zzzzz Zzzzz Zzzzz Zzzzz Zzzzz Zzzzz Zzzzz Zzzzz Zzzzz

also in above vid...
wondered how long it was going to take him to ride the wall first.I think you pretty much have to get a lot of pedal cadence before letting go...
centrifugal force is your friend.
oh, and if you're going at a pretty good clip and only one wheel slips off, it will leave a skid mark and throw you on your ass.

It looked like that guy should hold the wall and petal like mad, then he could balance easier.
