i wouldn't have bothered, and just moved on. his management style isn't your responsibility and nobody was forcing you to work there

plus you don't want to be the industry bitch. i very likely wouldn't hire you knowing you send emails like that
- but it was a constructive criticism email. I didn't see it as negative. The guy probably doesn't give a shit anywaysofakingbanned
- but it's not necessary. the existence of it is the jab and we all know it. it served only to make the OP feel better about himself, which is why it's here in the first placescarabin
- which is why it's here in the first placescarabin
- true. in this case I agree... but at another company this might be welcomed. exit interviews are common.sofakingbanned
- never been in one so i hadn't considered it, i guess it can be usefulscarabin

"Here's a letter I sent to my boss last year."
what is the fucking point in sharing this crap a year later?- He's enjoying the anniversary of his impish "win" with a glass of chardonnay.harlequino

I've dealt with my fair share of fucked up bosses that only think of themselves and fuck you over every chance they get. From what I've experienced its pointless to attempt helping these people. Just dont work with them, avoid them.
One guy i worked with was so bad I saw him single handedly destroy his well established firm and product company in a span of 6 months. Wouldn't listen to his employees advice and made more and more bad decisions just to prove he was right.
it was like watching a train wreck. entertaining but fucked up at the same time. meh

No real 'point' here, and I agree that some F bombs would have made this more of an amusing read. I guess I thought everyone's boners needed a break after the Gap logo news.

That high road is pretty boring stuff for somebody in the business of communication. If you really wanted to say it with style, you would have made a music video on youtube sung entirely falsetto by sock puppets made in your likenesses, and then for the Cannes Gold Lion you would have made a really trick mobile app to aggregate all of the comments your handiwork would generate, all fed back to his personal email. Oh, and you wouldn't have made it anonymous.
*sigh* where have all the villians gone?!

I'm sorry but no matter how big of an asshole he was, you come off as a bigger asshole and I bit of a wimp that you couldn't confront him in person. No one will blame you for leaving a job for a 60% raise but acting like you're better than everyone else isn't going to get you far.
- so, he burned a bridge?monospaced
- I didn't confront him in person because I made the decision over the weekend and never saw him again. And I think I missed the part of the letter where I acted better than everyone else. If I see him in public, I will tell him to fuck off. Him and Glenn Beck are probably the only ones I'd do that to.BR5-49
- I was expecting to receive my own "dear asshole"letter. Believe me I've wanted to send that same letter but stopped myself.fooler2
