I say, no rice and for sure no salt. Just a dry warm place and a shake every couple of hours. Don't turn it on for two or three days.
Alcohol won't work either, contact cleaner maybe but unless you can take it apart there is no point to add anything to your mess.
You're screwed if there was soap in the washer tho. Residue

you can also try a dehumidifier. even though you try to use ventilation to air dry your camera, you can end up with alot of moisture and condensation inside, even after weeks of drying. Therefore setting up a dehumidifier in the smallest room possible will help rid the cam of all moisture before you fire it up again preventing electrical short in the device.
