Image gallery idea?

I need an image gallery with a specific feature, and I'm hoping you might be able to give me a pointer on how to do it.
When the user clicks a thumbnail in the gallery, I need the image to be shown as a fullscreen background image, behind the page's content.
I've looked at two jQuery solutions, which have the fullscreen effect, but don't enable the use of thumbnails:
Supersized2: http://buildinternet.com/project…
Fullscreenr: http://nanotux.com/plugins/fulls…I suck at JavaScript, so I can't figure out how to modify either of them, to fit my needs properly.
Do you guys know of any "pre-packaged" solution that might work out here?

Looks like I'm not the first one to come up with this problem: http://www.qbn.com/topics/639606…
Doesn't look like he found a solution though...

You also have the source code of this website--

Haven't got time to look into it properly but it will have all you need!

Thanks, sneakybadger.
The second example doesn't do the trick. It's exactly like Supersized, with next/previous arrows. It doesn't allow to enlarge a specific image from a series of links, just the next/prev.
I'll look into your first link though. The code looks promising. :)
