I think the premise is interesting .. visually it looks pretty amazing. I like the credit sequence a lot. Enter the void is good title .. nihilism, debauchery and death (from the beginning). The trashy lights and the bustle seem to set the scene well .. from the trailer, I think it's going to work well visually. I hope it has a story that keeps up.
Perhaps Noe's work is reactionary .. but why is reactionary bad?

recently watched seule contre tous again, hated it for the first time. dawned on me that he has nothing to tell, nothing to show. goes for all his work I know of. common thread is: totally devoid of substance, only memorable for senseless effect. like michael bay movies, only michael bay shit is pg13.

Read a lot of reviews on this and talked to friends who've seen it... everyone seems to agree; the best part of the movie are the opening credits but the movie lacks substance and sucks basically.
Still wanna watch it though.

Saw it tonight. Visually stunning all the way through and unlike anything I've seen before. It's not as gory as his earlier stuff which was a relief, although it does push some boundaries..
^ Cuban - a lot of the film is devoid of dialogue and the plot takes a backseat to the mindbending cinematography. I don't think that means it lacks substance, just that it has uncommon intentions.

IMDB: 7.4Gotta say though - all of them talks about how violent and shocking his previous film Irreversible was. I don't remember it being that shocking or violent. Not compared with your typical horror torture porn shit.
