It was more me asking for an opinion on what peeps would do. I have tried to contact the guy and have taken the issue to professional bodies about this issue, but thought it was interesting to see what people did who found themselves in my situation. Seams like one or two people have had good suggestions...

"A Liam Young called us yesterday to say our site was down too - makes it more weird"
They do have caller ID in Australia right? Did it occur to you to call him back?
How did you contact the original Liam Young anyway - phone, email? There's got to be a way to get in touch. People generally don't just not answer phone calls.
Sorry Brian but the longer this goes on I'm going to have to declare either bullshit or just a case of overwhelming incompetence.

morning all.
well i've had a terrible nights sleep thinking about this one.and i see absolutly no sense has been achieved in the mean while.
so just to confirm what's happened here.you made a site.
someone you never met, bought a better URL,
when your hosting failed, they copied the site.
they got top of google.
and left your contact details on it.therefore someone is helping you get business, and you're angry with google?
did i miss something?
