Do you know any cheap hotels around that area? I just need a place to crash before heading back.. if not, I might just spend the night at the airport ;)

I doubt you would find 'trendy' in NY for cheap...
If you want to spend a few quid (dollars, sorry) go to the Hudson.

DO NOT GO TO THE RADISSON MARTINIQUE.
I work opposite it. Not sure what its like insite but the area is Meh to say the least. Its not quite as bad as Time Square but a close second!

Got some options to choose from. I'll be getting there late night and leaving early morning.
Which one of these would you recommend? Which is better located or closer to where I'm going (SVA)?

Take a look at http://www.airbnb.com/ and get an apartment - far better than staying at a tiny hotel.

Yess! hotels are getting pricey.
I'm going with the missus and so far, I'm staying at The Shoreham. The area looks pretty OK and the hotel seems nice. Unless I'm way off...
