I quit over a year ago. this dude's website was super helpful http://www.whyquit.com/joel/#vid…. He is big on the cold method, as gum, patches etc just keep you addicted longer. He has a ton of video/audio that talks about whats happening to your body. highly recommended.

Quit for months. The Alan Carr audio I found out about here on QBN really helped. (Thanks guys) I must've played it like 30 times with headphones at work. Might need to play it againthough—just relapsed this weekend. :/ Girls seem to be a big trigger for me. gotta watch that. Im back on it though today though. Major bike rides everyday after work as penance. Raaa

Everytime you feel like smoking pop one of those bastards on your pie hole.

I took up martial arts and became addicted to it. My smoking held back my progress as my stamina was waning and my breathing was awful. You won't ever stop being addicted to something running through your bloodstream, but you can choose to supplement the nicotine with endorphins.

i haven't had a cigarette since burning man.
i'm learning how to smoke a pipe instead, which is a more pleasant experience for me. it also seems like a bowl now and then in the evenings is not as horrible for you than puffing away at cigs all day long.
tobacco is a useful and enjoyable herb, i figure why remove it completely from my life... just be more responsible with it
- that's just me though, don't let this dissuade you from quitting or anythingscarabin
- Been puffing my pipe for 4 months now, haven't had cig since I started. Best thing everBender
- I like that idea .. smoke less, enjoy it more. It's difficult to keep it in check though.lukus_W
- don't forget it is the number one preventable cause of terriyingly painful and unnecessary death, but don't let that stop you...mikotondria3

I've gone 6 days without smoking so far, with some help from the patch. It's difficult when a bunch of people you work with go out for a smoke, and I can only imagine it being more difficult when I go to a bar.
I've been smoking for 15 years, and it's time for me to quit. Best of luck to you.

3 months without a smoke... my girlfriend still smokes but I quit a few weeks before I had a total hip replacement. Never felt better; walking taller. Life is good.
