So I need to create about twenty or so files that will each have a slide show like animation set to narration. I can do basic time line animations (I think... it's been awhile) but it seems really tedious.
So, I was wondering how hard is it to use action script to do the following:
1) Pull in the image dynamically;
2) Set the parameters for X, Y coordinates for start and finish;
3) Set percentage of increase/decrease in image size;
4) Set duration of time, it's on screen;
5) and also set a standard transition in and out (fade In, filters etc...)Could I find tutorials (or pre-built code) and learn this in less than a day or should I stick to the timeline.

if you've only got a short period of time... hire someone who can handle actionscript and use xml to set all those variables and listeners

besides pulling images in dynamically, you can do everything pretty easill;y using greensock. and GS may even support dynamic images...not sure as i have never used it for that.

I would love to hire someone one, but unfortunately due to time and budget and I can't.
I will check out greensock.
Thanks

instead of trying to set a time for the images to display, you could control them with sound start and sound complete calls - that way they will always sync to the audio properly.
just an idea
- I was already on the edge of what I thought I could figure out and I think you just pushed my over the edge.voiceof
- you don;t have to do it that way - just an option...flashbender
