sort by download date on zip/rar on mac? 44 Responses

This is probably a stupid question, but is there any way to sort by the date downloaded with rar/zip etc. files? especially compressed files that have different names compared to the extracted version?
i always tend to name my zip files as smpp.zip or whatever. basically the abbreviation of the real file (ie. sample_motion_product_pan).

thanks BallteAxe, but i already know that. this is where the problem is created.
the compressed file downloaded tells you when it was downloaded...however, unziping this file will only give you the date that the file was compressed. and that just doesn't help searching at all. in fact it just results in a lot of seemingly pointless emails :\
