looking for videos such as this that breakdown the behind the scenes of set design and or tv commercials and or movies..

this is the HBO City Intro from the 1980s..

its really amazing what they were able to create without CGI..

looking for more, as i am learning 3D, and i want to get into making things such as this, i think it would be great!!

    thanks!!

i think i can actually re-create most of that HBO scene thru modo..
i found a tutorial for building a mini city, i am learning how to animate type, so i can create a branding of some sort. and i can definitely learn how to pan a camera shot thru a scene like the camera view running thru the city as with the hbo shot..

i am making this as my goal for this february..
any help and guiding for this would be very much appreciated.

    :)

back on newstoday someone posted a scene showing the breakdown of an action scene from the director of lighting to the main camera director to the effects director to the film director..

it was the coolest behind the scenes i ever seen, but i bookmarked it at an old job and dont have the bookmarks anymore..

if this rings a bell in anyone please post it..

also can someone post that behind the scenes of the PSB ART OF WAR that nter made at the end of the competition?

    i cant find it..

Just finished watching this. Quite eerie and beautiful, very Tronesque.
Looks like the camera was attached to a train/subway car, sliced and flipped horizontally.

There was a making of star wars documentary that I saw a few years back that was really good. There was a lot about building the sets and the models. Can't seem to find it again though...
