That's got to be one of the biggest load of bollocks I've ever heard and seen in my life, sorry. Just desperately, desperately struggling to do something original, and not.
"[activity] like a ninja".
Fucking hell, like a ninja - that's crazy. That must be like really hard and accomplished, like. Tough too - and I guess some of that intention reflects onto them themselves, nice one.
Witless, derivative, humorless, safe garbage.
They might be nice guys with a cool message that's just got bastardized on their journey from bedroom to stadium, but I just detect any coherence or focus or intellect in either their lyrics, their music or their image. I'm open to having it pointed out to me, honestly I am, but I've loved and left thousands of other artists that have been more dangerous, intelligent and talented. Come on - change my mind - talk me through it...- doesn't matter, at the end of the day, they're laughing all the way to the bank. Plus, they have an unusual sound. It ispanacea
- whatever you want it to be, in their eyes and whomever else's.panacea
- isn't that what art is all about, subjectivity?panacea
- No.mikotondria3
- not all music is meant to be cerebralscarabin
- sometimes its only point is to trigger innate primal emotion, whatever it may bescarabin

i don't know... i think maybe they have a shot at being the next beatles

I still don't understand the hate... it's not like they are an overnight success. Waddy (Ninja) and Yolandi have been doing music and art for a long time along with a group of people like Jack Parow, who is also just fun.
If I can ever have this much fun being creative, doing what I love, touring the world... damn, I'd say that's pretty awesome. They get to create fun party songs, and they get to express art in all sorts of ways. It's not like some art director is doing their videos and their sets, they put it together have fun with it. If you don't like it, it's cool, I don't like a lot of stuff... but no reason to trash it. If members of QBN did this, wouldn't we be happy and having a good time with it?

Werd. what jfletcher sez. they're just playing characters for the sake of the project. You can go back through Waddy's career and see his music takes a different shape each time he rocks it. The Constructus Corporation proved to me that he's an actor/performer as much as an artist. If you see what they're doing with Die Antwoord as 100% deliberate decisions, and not 'just because that's the way they are' then you realize this is just a big marketing project for him and he's done an amazing job at it.
- Tho to be real, i dont really dig this shit.. just appreciate the way he was able to successfully 'get famous' with it.mantrakid
- Right on, that's fairer enough. Props for the success, that's never an accident, but the music's garbage.mikotondria3
