Microsoft was amazing. One of the best conferences ive ever seen. Sony was good, but not as good, and Nintendo was... lmfao. Iwata already issued an apology and said they will try and do better. Hahahaaaaa
- come on, admit it... sony won againcruddlebub
- sony wins.inteliboy
- Last generation of consoles, Sony is tankingWeyland
- Nintendo doesn't put as much emphasis on E3 as it does Space World or whatever that conference is called.i_monk
- No actually I was much more impressed by what MS had there.CygnusZero4

Xbox One will not be backwards compatible with Xbox 360 games... "The system is based on a different core architecture, so back-compat doesn't really work from that perspective," Marc Whitten, vice president of Microsoft Xbox Live - May 21, 2013
Coming up on two years of being outsold by the PS4 as well as their inability to migrate current x360 users into upgrading they announce backwards compatibility for a mere 100 games of which these are the current titles they are offering for Backwards Compatibility:
A Kingdom of Keflings
A World of Keflings
Alien Hominid
Banjo Kazooie
Banjo Tooie
BattleBlock Theater
Defense Grid
Geometry Wars Evolved
Hexic HD
Jetpac Refueled
Kameo
Mass Effect (No Mass Effect 2 or 3)
N+
Perfect Dark Zero
Super Meat Boy
Toy Soldiers
Toy Soldiers Cold War
Viva Pinata
Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise
ZumaWith the exception of Mass Effect not one of those games cracks any top 100 list of x360 games
Yeah Microsoft really rocked E3 this year!
- Isn;t this the same thing Sony did with PS3 and their PS2 compatibility in the early days?ETM
- The OG PS3 actually had the PS2 hardware chips inside allowing backwards compatibility as well as added cost which is why most 1st gen PS3's were sold at a lossjonny_quest_lives
- More than Sony is doing. Im fine with how theyre handling it.CygnusZero4
- So did Sony later do a software only emulation before killing it altogether? I seem to recall a real limited list of games that worked.ETM
- ah, the ps3 fat. i loved that thing. it lasted me like 8 years before it got the ylod and croakedscarabin

The whole thing smacks of PR move more than anything else. Anything that requires renegotiating with developers will probably never make the list... Since they bought Halo you may eventually be able to play those titles but not after they milk the shit out of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Sony won E3 with just the first 2 trailers of their conference.

This thread is missing this big boy
- The "banter" between the 2 characters is annoying. I'd prefer a game that adds tension/realism rather than some Rush Hour-style "comedy".Luda
- Uncharted is KNOWN for this. Plus not all the game is going to be set pieces with banter.ernexbcn
- I played Uncharted3 - I just couldn't get THAT into it but unsure why. This trailer doesn't make me want to try again even though, visually, it's great.Luda
- 3 had some very good moments though, like the desert hallucinations and truck chase.Luda

- Can't wait. They've opened up parts of the game this time round, and they script set-pieces so well ... bring it on.MrT

e3 was pretty casual imho. Rebranded titles, DLC everywhere, sell sell sell, optimize for console. PC conference was total shit. Star Citizen was missing at all, Valve was not present. They're both part of the most important PC developers.
Actual gameplay and real news were pretty rare.
Highlight for me was Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Coop-games are way too underrated by now. Remember the coop fun of Dying Light recently? Let's see what the division brings up then, but I have a feeling that it will be a total disaster. Can't imagine that the mechanics and the story will be worth playing after some runs..

Oh and let's not forget the actual Batman: Arkham Knight launch disaster. 30fps on PC, horrible performance, bugs everywhere.
When, when do game publishers learn? The shitstorm was foreseeable for everyone who looked in the gaming community. Steam reviews are negative, and this for a long awaited AAA title. Shame.
Remember not to preorder anything.
