So wait... I formed a goal (to ask for something) and because I executed my goal, just not in the way the site tried to design for, the *person is the problem?
Don Norman [and many others] would disagree I think :)

Filter on this site sucks big dicks. Besides I don't mind when someone creates a new thread for resource type stuff, sometimes people have new things to add that aren't on a year old thread. I'd bet my bank account there are more Lindsay Lohan threads on this site than brand guidelines.
Btw, this is an old resource, looking a little sparse now:

or fucking google it

ok, let's be serious, the design of filter sucks. A little magnifying glass at the bottom. It's easy to miss and the person is new. Plus ofr a lot of shit, the results suck. Give them a break.
Stop being an asshole about it, and explain how to do it.
It's a stupid website, someone didn't kill your kid, you don't have to freak out.- FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING FUCKED FUUUUCK! FUCK, FUCK FUCK!!!janne76
- the filter isn't very useful. Most threads are filled with bs comments like the ones abovepartdeux
- you can click on Filter at the top of the pageeieio
- bt it does suckeieio
- In fact there's so much BS around here, I can smell it through my screen.gramme
- *scratches, sniffsgramme

i have to agree, filter is useless

I can't get the filter to work for me either but using google with the site: function works really really well.

if you filter "guidelines" there are about 8 useful posts right off the bat. i'm just sayin...

I am sorry to say that the big 'ol link in the MAIN NAVIGATION and the magnifying glass at the bottom left is obvious and can only really mean one thing. Yes it is shit but it's one word.
I would be more forgiving if the request was something just a tad more obscure or specialist like "Time Management software" or "Design companies in..." but Brand guidelines... come the fuck on.
It would seem that people, or in the case of this website, people you would expect know just a little about web design, could perform a single word search... stop defending people who forget to engage their brain.
It's almost as bad as people asking to have their work designed for them...

I found an awesome brand guideline one time, it was for some college.
Sorry I don't remember what it was.

Oh yay, it's a chance to (once again) act like a complete asshole for absolutely no good reason: Someone asked a question and didn't first consult the sacred QBN magnifying glass! Good grief.
partdeux, this isn't downloadable, but it's excellent: http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/Wi…
