Here's some exclusive Point5 insider tips from previous Vegas threads:
Clubs:
PURE at Caesars Palace, LAX at Luxor, Body English at Hard Rock, The Bank at Bellagio, TAO at The Venetian, Moon at the PALMS, XS at Encore, Eve at City Center, Vanity at Hard RockStrip Clubs:
Seamless, Spearmint Rhino, SCORESDO's:
Buy some clothes to club in at the Forum Shops at Caesars or the Fashion Show Mall, spend and afternoon at Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, footlong hot dogs at Slots Of Fun (next to Circus Circus), cheap drinks at Imperial Palace (plus they have blackjack dealers dressed like Elvis, Madonna, etc. that get up and perform. It's horribly hilarious), Mr Lucky's at Hard Rock for that 4am food need, Burger Bar at Mandalay Place for some fantastic burgers before you hit the clubs, watch the tigers do nothing behind a thick pane of glass at Sigfried and Roy's "Secret Garden" at the Mirage (if they're still there), get some pasta at the old school italian joint Battista's Hole In The Wall (in an old strip mall behind Barbary Coast, head downtown for some cheap drinks and cheesy old school Vegas (there's a pretty good bar scene poppin up down there now: Beauty Bar, Downtown Cocktail Room), hit a dive bar like Double Down by the Hard Rock and try to catch a hard rock/punk band playing, go to Chinatown about 1 mile west of the Strip for tons of Asian food options, drink quite a bit before you leave your hotel room for the night (this will save you hundreds of dollars)DONT's:
buy club passes from cabbies (you can get them for free on the street), go in the pool water if you do hit a pool party, buy premixed daquiri and margarita bong things (hardly any alc in those things), drink the tap water because it is nasty, walk around in the neighborhoods surrounding the Strip, stand in the regular line to get into a club or else you'll waste 2 hours of your night

Do not walk the strip past The Wynn, like if you wanted to walk to Freemont. Just cab it. Made that mistake thinking the strip was fairly safe the whole way and it just gets dodgy past there. Less people around and had some guy try to snatch my wife's purse.

So from Canada to the states you are allow to carry purse or murse on the plane. Laptop bag and back pack has to be checked in. Laptop sleeve is ok otherwise you will have to carry lap top by hand. Been sitting 2 hrs waiting to get on the plane cuz every thing has been delayed

if you can't have fun in vegas you can't have fun. there isn't anything new i can tell you that others haven't already said. going to freemont street is a great start to the night and a whole lot cheaper than the main strip. 5 beers and a shot of jack came out to be $17 at one of the casinos on the corner in the photo above (the one on the right side corner). on the strip that would easily run you $45.
the barbary coast's name has changed now but it still has pretty inexpensive drinks. it used to be that you could order an absolute and redbull for $4, AND they let you keep the remaining can of redbull that wouldn't fit into the glass. at any other casino on the strip that's about an $11 drink and you don't even get to keep what's left in the can of redbull.
also, everytime i've gone to vegas i've had people offer me coke and on more than one occasion have almost gotten killed over people wanting to buy it off of me. i tell them i'm not a dealer and don't do drugs and they freak out because i won't sell to them. i must look like i'm a huge coke head... which is probably a very bad thing.
