if bought with in last 3 years it is still under warranty

but I had a frustrating time , so I just called the 1800 # and said I have no internet , cause they will want to send you online
if you are under warranty by sending it in you get a 1 year warranty on the work
mine has gotten RROD 3 times already , never paid a dime to get it fixed

throw it away. get a ps3. its what i did after sending it bak to MS and then it getting a red ring only 4 months after that and doing towel tricks i taped a M-80 to its center and took it to a deserted parking lot and put a cig to its fuse and watched as it blew apart into a few pieces i went to bestbuy and got a PS3 happily i am downloading new games from the online store... oh yeh online is free and ridiculously easy to use... u just find your wireless or anyones wireless... and done et done... if you get a 60GiG ps3 you can use both ps1 and ps2 games... currently the ps2 games dont work on the 80GiG ps3s... ive been playing naruto ultimate ninja storm, uncharted 2, batman arkham asylum, street fighter 4 and enjoying a very silent running machine which i have played on for 3 days straight and it still purrs like a new born ps3... fantastic!!!
xbox360 does have a better game library but the system is a complete failure even fouty knows not to get it!!!

when i went to UPS to ship it out, i was saying to the girl behind the counter, i don't really know how to pack it up so its safe so maybe you could make some recommendations

Dammit. I came home from vacation today, and when she picked me up my girlfriend was telling me about how when she was watching a Netflix movie at my place while I was gone and "it stopped working, these red lights were flashing."
Sure enough I turned it on when I got home and it was the 3 red lights flashing. FUCK! I've been out of town since monday and am seriously looking forward to getting back on MW2...
I bought it in January 2008, so it's still under warranty, but man I don't want to be away from it for 2-3 weeks, not to mention I'm going to be in Texas for half the month of December, from December 12 - 29th. And I also really don't want to just go buy a new one for $199... FUCK!
What's the best thing for me to do?

Damn mg33, you caught the curse. this shit is worse than H1N1. Well, I finally remembered to call and get mine set up for repairs today. I'm going to try to get it shipped tomorrow. One solution might be to have them return ship it to whatever address in Texas that you'll be at. I'm having them ship it back to my office since it requires a signature.

Ship it as soon as you can. MS won't even try to fix it they'll just send you a refurbished one.

Just buy a new one at Wal-Mart and then return it when your old one comes back. Keep the packaging and return it in clean, salable condition and you should have no problems for 90 days.
I have heard of several people doing that. You don't even need to open or unwrap the accessories/cables since you have your old ones. I wouldn't normally advocate such behavior, but the 360 is a PIA and I don't care.
