An all new low, this even beats out companies like 50dollarlogo
What a whorish idea. I hope it fails miserably.

no-spec.org this is a fucking another attempt to whiddle down what little craft is left to starve in this industry. You know this was presented to istock as a good idea from some vp who said you know we paid too much for our brand we shouldn't offer the lowest common denominator service out there.. Take your pick crowd sourcing and this are pathetic.

WTF!
- benfal990
they will make a lot of money and you will make almost nothing compare to what its worth.
I SAY NO!
- monNom0

got this too, bit pricy I can get a silverlight template on template mobster for $50 complete with an animated logo. Of course it's not a spinning logo like johnny revolution can do but.......... goes to kill self...

why do we always get ass raped by these companies?!!

Anyone got ideas for a way to help destroy the industry, or at least help push down profit margins a bit?
- jimbojones0
Yeah ukit, works for direct clients only, explain them why it is worth to spend on lasting design as much as you want to get, aim for a long collaboration.
- If you have to explain you pretty much know how that client relationship will go.Iggyboo
- not true, some just don't know what we do apart of shifting letters left and right, some become interested and appreciatejimbojones

Think about it this way... this will clean up a few hundred ads on Craigslist....

story focusing on the legalities:
http://www.logodesignlove.com/is…
"Given iStock’s size in the marketplace, I imagine there’ll be thousands of uploads. Wouldn’t that need a boat-load of copyright policing?
“We are placing the burden of checking for trademark-ability on the client.”
Oh. I see."

I never use istock too much in the past, but personally I don't think I will use it anymore.
Just take pictures yourself if you need them. I know plenty of business guys in suits I can get to shake hands.
