Glad Naboo went as he was an arrogant git and also I think chin-boy and Gnasher were the right ones to get booted last week. Though I thought Rick Astley should've gotten the boot last week for his ideas and then this week its the pregnancy approach again.
Didn't really think the ideas were great this week but still I hated those open briefs in college, you'd always get some chancer using the old 'tampon in a teacup' as the answer to the brief.
My prediction is that Rick and threadless will be asked to fuck off next week.
- who is rick and who is threadlessdigdre
- threadless is the t0shirt bloke and rick is the bloke that looks like rick astley.shitehawke

I agree that open briefs are the hardest assignments, but the outcome also tells the most about the designers.
How long did they have for this, a week right? I thought the execution of the presentations and prototypes were horrid.
I liked the idea of using the felt found in clothesdryers to create new clothing, but her presentation (saying the garment she was wearing was made from the fabric) killed it.
The 'green' wastebin could have been given some more thought.. she could've made a plantpot/garbagebin combination where your garbage turns into compost or something.
The unplug the world for two weeks isn't very conceptual as they said in the program, just impossible. Furthermore the basic idea is already being performed and known as 'Earth Hour'.
I'm glad Starcke recognized Nebil as a being a good marketeer, not a good designer. His transforming experience could be anything and everything, and thus not giving an anwser to the brief.

Not using tumble dryers and looking into reducing water and/or land usage in cotton production would be far greener than the recycled material surely?

imma let you finish but nebil had the best idea ever!
- what? a tunnel that people float around in and come out at the other end transformed? hajay_jay

What I love about Stark is that he bangs on about ecology and the environment, but turns up on a different motorbike each day.
...and the way he picked the guy up for choosing the bike, made possible by "slavery", whilst at the same time claiming the jeep was an intelligent piece of design. Since when was a tool for war intelligent?
- regardless of purpose I think most tools for war are intelligent...set

Stark preaches sustainable, ecology and the environment design as well as not using cleap child & slave labor in third-world countries. Funny how vast majority of his own designs are mass produced, not environmentally friendly and use child labor to produce his junk. What a hypocritical and toolbag!

shit programme with the bottom of the barrel creatives.
And where does that french cunt who makes bad juicers get off when he talks about the last decent creative was in the 60's in the UK.
Not withstanding Jonathan Ive and more or less 50% of the worlds cars are designed by brits.
He's average and always has been, and I've met him twice. Oh and Ive been down the pub.
- He didn't say any good designers, he said any major design movements.shitehawke

I completely agree with what Lukus is saying. It took almost 20 minutes before the programme actually progressed instead of recapping and over explaining what had happened and repeating eeveryzing Philippe sayz, bekuz his accent iz very stronge.

Don't get me started on that fuckin' juicer!
Starck is so cool, he doesn't have pips in his citrus fruits!

It has gone down hill... that's for sure. If this bunch are the best we (uk) have to offer, god help us.

So did anyone watch the last episode last night. I thought the show worked quit well at the end, And I loved the Walking Stick design idea. Not bad.
One thing that worried me was non of the Design Student seemed to use any 3D programs in the show, or in any of there presentations, I find this a little odd considering they are Product Designers, it's like a graphic designer not knowing Photoshop or Illustrator, you sure as hell are not going to get a job as a Product Designer if you do not know some kind of 3D App.

who won? I didn't watch it to the end...

pile of pants so it was and if this is the best we can do I'm not surprised we're in the shitheap we are in.
