Police brutality in Manchester

Are you joking like? Under the circumstances the greater Manchester police force should be commended. Faced with the task of controlling hundreds of drunk, violent thugs, hell bent on causing trouble, they did the best they could. Did the creator of this post not even see the video of the policeman getting kicked to the ground;
I'm Scottish and consider myself a football fan, and also I consider this lot Scotland's shame. 80,000 Celtic fans went to Seville, with no reported bother at all. Scotland fans rarely get in trouble abroad these days.
I'm not saying all Rangers fans were involved, but with all that "Rule Britannia" sectarian shite, they are are the same as the English supporters that cause trouble, ruining the reputation of the rest of the England fans, the majority of which do not get involved.

what a fantastically bizarre and out of date subject to make your first ever topic.
for the record, I'm a rangers fan, and these people are scum. Howe3ver, of the thousands who went down, the percentage involved in trouble was something like 0.01% (I did the sums at the time, but can no longer remember as it was so so long ago).
Also remember that this was a euriopean final held in britain, meaning that all the total scumbags who wouldn't normally be able to get out if the country to watch thier team (any team, yes; even the loveable chappies from the east end) could hop on a bus, or pile in a car and go down to manchester for a good old fashioned european game scrap with anyone and everyone.
Rangers had zero arrests and zero incidents anywhere in europe that year, in a run which included champions league group games and two legged rounds all the way to the final of the UEFA afterward. Make of that what you will.
- +1, this would not have happened in Spain or somewhere abroad.Jnr_Madison

like kelpie said its that tiny percentage of scumbags that don't have any interest in football, they just want to fight cops and throw pot plants at things
