what a fantastically bizarre and out of date subject to make your first ever topic.

for the record, I'm a rangers fan, and these people are scum. Howe3ver, of the thousands who went down, the percentage involved in trouble was something like 0.01% (I did the sums at the time, but can no longer remember as it was so so long ago).

Also remember that this was a euriopean final held in britain, meaning that all the total scumbags who wouldn't normally be able to get out if the country to watch thier team (any team, yes; even the loveable chappies from the east end) could hop on a bus, or pile in a car and go down to manchester for a good old fashioned european game scrap with anyone and everyone.

Rangers had zero arrests and zero incidents anywhere in europe that year, in a run which included champions league group games and two legged rounds all the way to the final of the UEFA afterward. Make of that what you will.

    • +1, this would not have happened in Spain or somewhere abroad.Jnr_Madison
