Article is interesting in it's search for hidden meaning in corporate brands. Anyone have any other examples of identities that have a darker history?

Not that I'm going to assign tin foil hat nurtured meaning to modern day logos, but makes sense. I always figured the concept of logos had its roots in coats of arms and flags and whatnot, which have all kinds of deeper meanings.

"On the logo we see a naked man riding an angry horse and flashing some sort of medieval gang sign. Is this the type of guy you would ask for advice concerning international politics? No. Well, maybe you would just for kicks. The figure on the logo contain many symbols that need deciphering."
"Medieval gang sign", holy fucking shit hahahhaahha
