What is a triday? otherwise, looks fine / safe to me. safe is forgettable, though.

It doesn't really tell me anything, but that's not always necessary, i guess. While the "f" thing is a good idea, i wonder if you would be better off doing the same thing you did with the "e" in "forever" and "d" in "friday". Completing the top curve of the bottom "f" and carving a small space along it's edge to separate it from the top "f" would prevent people from guessing whether it's an "f", a "j", or a "t" (though, admittedly, the rest of the word already confirms it's an f)

I like the name but the logo has the feel, at least to me, of a burger chain or something along those lines
- ukit0
What's the thinking behind the name? It sounds more like a restaurant/ bar franchise than a design company.

- more specific
http://www.qbn.com/t…version3 - even more specific

can you hint at the infinity symbol within the fs somehow? or something similar to give the shape more meaning? looks nice janne – real friendly like.
- janne760
i forgot to explain to you isolated design purists:
it is supposed to be accessible, not have meaning, funky, happy, approachable. NOT avant-garde or anything like that, as that will not compute amongst the average client here.
- janne760
jesus, i get EXACTLY the comments i expected. you guys are so incredibly predictable.
- janne760
opening up the f's a little is the first thing i need done. cheers...
(i did this logo in 10 minutes, so yes, needs brushing up!)

meh
but you knew I'd say that
- exactly. i was thinking, when's jimbo coming with "meh"?janne76

I miss the tittle.

- i like the lower f a lot more here .. less forced_salisae_
- still looks like a j to melocustsloth
- I think the lower f is less legible here than in the originals. How about trying the ascender of the lower f forming the right part of the crossbar on the upper f?5timuli
- the crossbar on the upper f?5timuli
- i.e. having the lower f above the upper one?5timuli
- that's a cool idea_salisae_
- yeah, i'll switch it...now i need a drink first..janne76
- Not sure I like the top 'f' overlapping the bottom 'f'furstdsgn

you could also play with the inifinte symbol, clos to a "f" script, for the forever. or 2f enlaced etc...
- ukit0
seems like everyone always focuses on the details - kern this or nudge that 2 pixels to the left etc. and never questions the overall strategy.
what's the larger idea with this brand and how does it achieve the goals you intend?
Also, needs a ™ ;)
- janne760
the brand is about knowing the market and zeitgeist here.
a design agency shouldn't look too pretentious or too high up it's own conceptual arse in order to acquire more gigs big and small.
i had the red speech bubble with the slightly funky white letters in my mind for a long while now, that's why i drew it so quickly (@amart).
i think i stick with it and improve the shape and type a bit more and call it a (fri)day. :)
thanks everyone!

by faaaaaaaar the most clients in the market available here aren't looking for the level of intellect and puns in a logo as most of you keep striving for.
they just want to feel it, or recognize it in the context of culture/zeitgeist.
most agencies i know do not have a logo that has a lot of thought in it. not necessary either as in this age of hurry and bizzy bizzy people can not be bothered to look at it that way.
if you want that become an artist and do interesting conceptual art.
the success of your company is in the real world out there mostly defined by the amount of contacts and a general body of work that is decent. And here, if it is too over the top, most clients run to an average communications agency here (true!) because it seems more accessible and done within reasonable time and budget. those factors are still the most important for the bunch of the market.
the shit some of the companies do in london is nice to look at, but mostly for designers. or people with a certain taste for better arts.
you don't have lots of them here, i am afraid.but i don't care. i need to get this shit up asap and get working and earn money!
