Great work Ima. Don't be disheartened by the random decision by a senior person to go with someone else... happens all the time and your work is fookin' great. Really interesting shots. Get your book out there!

Bad Ass work man! just one thing, don't get me wrong, but it's weird when people find pictures of Mexico in the Central America part of your portfolio, Mexico is North America.
Just a tiny detail that feels weird to me (I'm Guatemalan, maybe that's why), a great solution would be if that part of the folio is called Mexico and Central America, BLAM fixed right there!
Keep up the amazing work.
- Noted. Thanks. Where in Guatemala are you from? It's my favorite country.imadesigner
- The City, I split bet Guat/NYC, you come here often?Ambushstudio

I use a Canon 5D with a few L series lenses. I wrote a bit about equipment and technique a while back, but decided to remove it from the main menu as it's a bit 'tossy'. You can read it here:

Fotoquote!

I'd download the demo version and the PDF.
Note that you may or may not get the prices they quote, but it's worh knowing what your image may be worth.. covers generally start at $1000 or more. The fact that the magazine mentions "usage" means they know what they're doing and won't freak out or randomly demand a "buyout"
Exclusivity is important, maybe Thai airlines only needs exclusive rights to Asia, so you could re-sell the image in North America.... etc...

am i the only one, who think the feet first series needs to be presented in a "well positioned" slideshow format? you know what i'm saying.
- imadesigner0
Boo, they didn't pick mine :(
- baseline_shift0
your work is aces.
Which image do they want?
- shitehawke0
Lovely photos chief.
Theres a couple of ways to look at it, first up, how they are going to use it, where its going to be seen, print run, exclusive rights etc. For example, if it were going on an inflight magazine for a run of 5,000-10,000 for a month its different to a billboard campaign running for a year in high profile areas of a major city. And weither or not they want exclusive rights to use it for that time (you wouldn't be able to seel it on to someone else)
If you were to look at gettys rights managed arrangement they have different pricing structures set up for different usages. For instance the print run for the mag (described above) could cost €300 - €600 per image.
A photographer hired to do a shoot might charge €600 for a half day and licence the photograph or charge a further €100 - €200 for each image used (if it were under 20 images or so).
Hope this hasn't confused you more!
