how are these being exported? indesign? illustrator?
- they are being exported out of photoshop.lvl_13
- save as an eps and distill. always distill.baseline_shift

the new acrobat pro seems so bloated. I just use preview most of the time, unless i need to edit the pdf. Who wants to wait 3 minutes for a program to boot when im just lookin at the pdf.

the photoshop business is the culprit. it's rasterizing your type layer. it looks like the fonts take a while to render, but it's actually drawing the type as a bitmap layer. try to use indesign or illustrator if you are outputting large areas of type.

Computational math?
It would work best on outlined font
- well sure, outlined fonts. but then it's not really a font anymore. it would just be another graphic.lvl_13
- But it interprets vector (embedded font or outlined) differently from bitmap graphic.JourNYC
- right, i get that. but why wouldn't it happen in other progs then? i mean i get that acrobat is not really for layout but..lvl_13

It's never done this to me. Are you on Windows or OS X? Have you upgraded to the newest release?
