What's the best and easiest to pick up? 3D Cinema?
Anyone know of an alternative to Swift3D for web stuff? It's pretty unreliable I've found. Like rendering time, optimization and minimal control.

Poser is free and pretty easy.
otherwise most people like cinema 4D

i like C4D for modeling, getting a scene together, but hate it for rendering. If rendering stills, fuck everything except maxwell render or indigo.

That the one I've heard is good! Cinema 4D,

I'm LOVING Rhino, http://www.rhino3d.com/
But then I'm not really interested in animation or anything.

Oh, and I know I keep banging on about this thing, but if you're getting in to 3D in any significant way at all, I can't highly enough suggest you invest in a 3DConnexions SpaceNavigator (or the like).
It fundamentally changes the way you interact with the 3D interface and makes it much, much easier to get going.

I use Rhino for almost all of my modeling, and C4D for rendering + animations. Personal preference.

maya. it'll take a week to figure out the interface but once you do you'll love it.

I use cinema4D.

I have mudbox but haven't used it yet. Which do you prefer?

I've only just started playing in both. MudBox seemed a bit more straightforward. I had that demon head sculpted within 20 minutes of an intro to the tools and interface from a very basic featureless head shape. It's also way more compatible with Maya in terms of workflow.
ZBrush on the other hand is way more convoluted and robust. It's pretty tricky. But once you get involved, you can't help but love it.
I don't know enough about each to say, but I'm looking forward to learning more of each.

MudBox, great name. so this or cinema 4D I think

carrara from daz3d is cheap and easy. it used to be called Specular Infini-D. it's not pro level but is pretty good.
