just to confirm - this was directed by Pete Candeland (animation director Robert Valley) at Passion Pictures. Jamie Hewlett was not involved in this one.

Beautiful work! Great concept, great execution, tight work. Love the Beatles and love the animation. I will get a PS3 just for this game, probably.

It feels a bit like a japanese cartoon if the first half.. but either way I think the first half is amazing

wow that animation blew me away

Thanks everyone. It was a tremendous project to work on and I'm happy with the results. Obviously, being the artist, there are little niggles that I wish I had done better but the overall reaction has been good so I'm pleased.
I'm about to start work on a second treatment for the band Kajagoogoo and then after that there is talk of either doing the same for Phil Collins or Buck's Fizz.

the animation is killer, I would like to see a Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin version.

"you just need to study them somewhat to appreciate their influence...."
Listen to yourselves! FFS.....
Music speaks for itself. That's it - that is all there is to it.
- Do you do much book learnin' ?mikotondria3
- Still a fine animation though....moth
- You don't/shouldn't need books to enjoy music.moth
- Very true. But - do you understand anything of what the Beatles pioneered in terms of composition or production ?mikotondria3
- You all keep telling me I should, but I'm not going to study something I don't like.moth
- So no. And I don't "need" to know, as a musician, or a music fan.moth

This is amazing. WOW!! Jamie Hewlitt is the man!!

You've met me BaskerviIle!
I've heard it all before - that presumption that I should, by default, have an instinctive like of the beatles because I'm human or something. Well, no. I don't deny their influence, any more than I would deny the influence of the Spice Girls or Hendrix, but their music bores me. The Beatles, BORE ME. Maybe it was great if you were "there" when they were relevant - but I wasn't - and they are no longer relevant. The Spice Girls, Hendrix - even the small faces - are no longer relevant.
Relevance means nothing. A snobbish approach to music is unhealthy. I like what I like, and regardless of the effect the Beatles had on popular culture - the music leaves me cold.
- My feelings as well.morilla
- I'd also like to point out that my parents did not like the beatles but they did like the stones.chossy
- I know I've met you :) I'm not saying that everyone has to love their music but most people will have a period of discoveryBaskerviIle
- you might not like them but you have to respect them, half of your collection wouldn't exist without themBaskerviIle

People who say they dont like the beatles are either:
A) Denouncing them cause the beatles are too popular for their reputation.
B) Too 'hard' to listen to songs like 'I wanna hold your hand'.
C) Have never given the beatles an honest, thorough listen.
- thank you +1 I honestly believe thisBaskerviIle
- Yeh, you just need to study them somewhat to appreciate their influence, and actually how great a composer McCart..mikotondria3
- .ney really was back in his late youth. The Beatles are true history in a way little else is. We have nothing of their type.mikotondria3
