you don't always know what's inside a lacie, as they don't actually make the drives, just the enclosures. the wd is all made by wd, who make very reliable drives.

i just picked up a WD passport 500gig for under $130 and it is dope. it's barely bigger than the iPhone and only requires a usb2 cable (no power cable/cord bullshit)
